My name is Ellen Romero, and I have had the privilege of serving as the Regional Support Groups (RSG) Liaison for the New Zealand Society of Diversional and Recreational Therapists Inc. This role has enabled me to strengthen communication and collaboration between our Regional Support Groups and the National Board while supporting member engagement across Aotearoa.

Over the past year, I have worked closely with Regional Support Group leaders, attended regional meetings, and developed initiatives to create stronger communication pathways and regular opportunities for regional leaders to connect, share ideas, celebrate successes, and support one another.

I am passionate about fostering meaningful relationships and ensuring every region feels connected, supported, and heard. If re-elected as Regional Support Groups Liaison, I look forward to continuing to strengthen our regional networks, encourage collaboration, and support the ongoing growth of our Society and the Diversional and Recreational Therapy profession throughout New Zealand.
