My name is Kim Prasad, and I have had the privilege of serving on the Executive Board of the New Zealand Society of Diversional and Recreational Therapists Inc., including a period as President. Serving the Society has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to advocate for our profession, connect with members, and contribute to initiatives that support the growth of Diversional and Recreational Therapy across Aotearoa.

 

Over the past year, I have represented the Society through professional engagements, collaborated with fellow Board members, and supported opportunities that strengthen awareness of our profession and the value it brings to the people and communities we serve.

 

I firmly believe that the success of our Society comes from the collective passion, skills, and dedication of our members. If elected to continue serving on the Executive Board, I look forward to supporting collaboration, encouraging professional growth, and helping NZSDRT continue to thrive as we build a strong future for our profession together.
