Trina has a particular passion for enhancing the wellbeing of older adults through meaningful, person-centred recreational approaches. Her areas of interest and expertise include recreational strategies for people living with dementia, the integration of culture into recreational therapy, and the therapeutic use of communication, conversation, and nostalgia. She has a special interest in New Zealand/Kiwi culture and its role in strengthening identity , connection, belonging and quality of life.
